Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) skills are vital to employers across the economy and in a variety of job roles. Demand for these skills is expected to grow dramatically in the future. STEM subjects are required at technician level, which includes Apprenticeships, as well as on more academic pathways. It’s important that young people are made aware of the opportunities and skills provided by studying STEM and that choosing STEM subjects will more than likely widen options later in life rather than narrow them.

Education Business Futures has a key role in supporting schools to engage in STEM curriculum enrichment, as well as careers awareness to encourage young people to continue studying STEM subjects.
EBF supports STEM related services and can provide EBF Business Ambassadors in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. EBF aims to encourage and enthuse schools, teachers and young people about STEM-related learning and can support you by:
- providing regular information on forthcoming STEM related schemes, programmes, competitions, activities and events;
- responding to individual requests for STEM support.
These are just a few of the areas where we currently have volunteers who have signed up to help schools. If you would like to know more or have a specific need or event that we can help with, then please contact us: Tel 0115 960 1571.
